About Me
I am a photographer, born in Israel and currently located in the U.S., who is most experienced at taking portraits. I love to travel and be exposed to different cultures and traditions around the world - I spent close to a year on my own in South East Asia (China, Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Thailand, India), as well Ethiopia, and Ecuador. Thanks to the camera, I have met people from diverse backgrounds that I wouldn't have had the opportunity to meet in any other way.
I have a B.A. in Psychology, with a minor in Sociology and Anthropology from Bar Ilan University.
As a photographer and undergraduate student of Sociology and Anthropology, I gained diverse experience in the following ways:
• 2014-2015: Organized workshops in Visual Culture for the Department of Sociology and Anthropology, Bar-Ilan University (2015-2014).
• 2016: Presented a lecture on "The Struggle of the Falash Mura: the Political Power of Photography" at a conference in the Department of African Studies, Ben-Gurion University.
• Two solo exhibitions of cultural diversity in developing nations through my photography at the Sourasky Library , Tel Aviv University.
• Curator of the 42nd Annual Conference of the Israeli Anthropological Association photography exhibition (2014) at the Tel Aviv-Jaffa Academic College .
• Curator of the 41st Annual Conference of the Israeli Anthropological Association photography exhibition (2013) at the Van Leer Institute, Jerusalem.
